By accessing or using the Hack the Stars game and related services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Hack the Stars is a cyberpunk tactical hacking MMO where players build computers, deploy AI, and engage in strategic gameplay. The Service includes all content, features, and functionality available through our website and game client.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account

5. Virtual Items and Currency

The Service may include virtual items and currency that can be purchased or earned through gameplay. These items have no real-world value and cannot be redeemed for cash. All virtual items are licensed, not sold, and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue virtual items at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

All content included in the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Hack the Stars or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hack the Stars shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
